Current Projects for Bumpe High School
and the Chiefdom of Bumpe There is no shortage of needs to be addressed in the Chiefdom of Bumpe or at Bumpe High School. The following school projects are currently in progress

Bumpe High School Student Scholarship Fund The tuition for a student at Bumpe High School is just $173 for an entire year, but this is more than many families there make in a year. Even residential students need less than $600 for all expenses but this is a huge sum.

Many children in Bumpe simply cannot afford to attend school and this is reflected in the 35% Sierra Leone literacy rate! The Kposowa Foundation has set up a scholarship fund, and you can fund a student for $600/year!

Bumpe High School’s Home Economics Program We are delighted to have the Home Economics building fully constructed; however, we are still in process of equipping it before it can meet the intended uses. We are looking for:
• treadle sewing machines (and supplies) that can be used without electricity
• pots, pans, and kitchenware for a cooking class
• gas cookers, freezer, and electric and charcoal irons

Bumpe High School’s Dining Hall The dining hall is quite a large building. After reconstruction it will not only provide food service, but will be a central community meeting place and a venue for poetry, plays and other art projects.
